Started the day off with an Elvis shirt with my rockin’ purse. Yes, in line at Barnes and Noble, I rocked out a little on my guitar. No, I didn’t get starred down because who wouldn’t want to see a girl rockin’ out on her guitar, Elvis purse?!? I read a little bit from a few of my Elvis coffee table books, watched “Frankie and Johnny” (not the best Elvis movie, but it was on during the Bronco game so I could switch back and forth. The Broncos were doing so awesome, I couldn’t not watch. Remember that my new years resolution, watch/learn more about football.) Then I ended the day, sitting on the couch in my Elvis pajamas. I know you’ll be jealous and want some and you know what you can get the same pajamas at shopelvis.com aka best store EVER!!! Well, have a rockin’ Elvis inspired day!
I’m reading Me and a Guy Name Elvis, by Jerry Schilling. It really is a good book!!

I mean I am typing right now on my computer with Elvis on the front and drinking coffee from my Elvis mug. It’s going to be a good day! All for Elvis! Here is my favorite Elvis song in honor of him!
Cowgirlafied

Lately, I have been wearing a lot of my cowgirl boots (fake cowboy boots). I am going to teach you about the rules of cowgirl boots according to Whitney, who is about as country as you get for Colorado. She is probably thrilled that I am saying this since I was making fun of her for her cowgirlness at the Dierks Bentley Concert.
Well, start by saying she was appalled by my cowboy boots when she found out that they were a company called Coconuts and from DSW. Not a good start, not authentic over here. I was getting ready for the concert and came out with jeans tucked into them to wear them. This is a no no in the country world. It’s okay with a dress, but not with colored tights. It is not okay to wear them with cut off jean shorts. This is one fact I already knew. That goes in the jean on jean no and leggings aren’t pants category. She okayed the over the jeans just for me, but only me. So don’t meet Whit, wearing cowboy boots with shorts, tucked into jeans or with colored tights. Oh and make sure they are authentic. Thanks for the great tips Whit!
