Jilly’s Sewing Shop

Monday, Monday, the weekend came and went so fast.  I am super jealous because 2 of my three sisters are on Spring Break.  One, Jessica is visiting my prego sister, Kara in San Francisco and the other, Molly, is driving back to Omaha to help pack up my grandma to move out here.  It is so weird because I think this is the first time ever I have not had Spring Break.  We always used to go places with my parents every year–Disneyland and Las Vegas seemed to be our most popular trips.  I guess that’s why they are teachers and I’m not.  Well, I’m not a teacher because having a room full of 24 kids everyday is way too much for me.

Now that they are gone I have to figure out what to do with all my free time.  I don’t actually have that much, but was able to make a new apron this past weekend!  As many of you know, I have an Etsy shop called Jilly’s Sewing Shop.  My shop has a variety of aprons, crocheted scarfs, hair accessories, and baby accessories (which I just started doing). I love doing it and my mom has taught me so much about sewing.  I will never be quite like her.  She has made 2 wedding dresses.  One for my sister, Kara and recently for a friend of the family. I don’t think much gets harder then making a wedding dress.

This apron I made for my favorite 13 year old.  She picked out all the colors.  When we were buying them, I was a little iffy on her choices.  I did not expect her to choose colors like this; however, in the end I really liked it.
